Who is eligible?
- Existing blueberry growers in British Columbia replanting their fields.
- Existing raspberry growers in British Columbia replanting their fields.
Who is not eligible
- Annual crop producers, forage producers, non-commercial producers, and farmland outside British Columbia.
- Producers in sectors without an opportunity assessment completed and pre-approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
- Producers that do not meet stream-specific criteria.
- Applicants with an active project with the Perennial Crop Renewal Program (2023-2025).
- Field locations previously approved through ERP Stream 4: Berry Removal are not eligible for funding through Stream 3 in future intakes.
Eligible expenses
- Nursery stock plant purchases and one-time licensing or plant royalty fees.
- Producer-to-producer sales, including rootstock, scion, and plants.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Fields that do not meet the contiguous 0.5 acre minimum, including different locations with different PIDs, separated planting areas on the same PID that do not touch, or areas separated by a paved road or highway.
- Interplanting in existing orchards or vineyards.
- New plantings, including farm expansions and crops established on bare land or land previously used for non-perennial or non-food perennial crops.
- Home nursery costs, GST, in-kind expenses, taxes, duty, shipping costs, and other planting or removal costs such as equipment rental, posts and wire, and labour.
- Ongoing annual royalty payments and commodity-specific criteria listed in the sector-specific planting or removal guidelines.

Selection criteria
- Confirmed plant order for all fields at the time of application.
- Enrollment in Production Insurance.
- Enrollment in AgriStability or vertical integration that makes applicants ineligible for AgriStability.
- A current Environmental Farm Plan or one in progress.
- Stream 3 applications are also scored on whether fields are cover cropped for at least 6 months prior to planting and, for blueberries, whether they plant the new BC variety BC 14-40-158 (BCB001AAC); funding is awarded to high-scoring applicants first until allocations are exhausted.
How to apply
- Go to the IAF Client Portal and create a personal profile, then provide your organization information.
- Wait for IAF to validate the account; this can take up to two business days.
- Select the Enhanced Replant Program from Funding Opportunities.
- Complete the application with the required project details, budget information, demographic survey confirmation, BRM information if applicable, and supporting documents such as a confirmed plant order.
- Save and close the application, then submit it from the review screen when applications are being accepted.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are screened and reviewed by IAF and may also be reviewed by a technical expert.
- Ten percent of eligible applications are selected for further audit and review by an Accredited Professional, and additional information may be requested.
- Approved applicants are notified by email within 8 weeks of a completed application submission, and all funding decisions are final.
- Applicants without a confirmed plant order may receive conditional funding approval pending order confirmation; conditional approval is valid for 60 days.
- Successful applicants must complete the replanting activities and submit a project report and/or pass an on-site field inspection before payment; expenses are reimbursed based on receipts, the approved project proposal, and the corresponding cost-share ratio, and payments are made in CAD.
