Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Existing tree fruit or wine grape producers replanting their fields in British Columbia.
- Existing cherry, pome fruit, and stone fruit growers, including apple, pear, apricot, nectarine, peach, and plum growers.
Who is not eligible
- Annual crop producers, forage producers, and non-commercial producers.
- Producers on farmland outside of British Columbia.
- Sectors that do not have an opportunity assessment completed and pre-approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
- Producers that do not meet stream-specific criteria.
- Applicants with an active project with the Perennial Crop Renewal Program (PCRP) (2023-2025).
Eligible expenses
- Plant costs, provided planting takes place after application approval and plants have not been funded through other programs.
- Nursery stock plant costs and one-time licensing or plant royalty fees.
- Home nursery stock one-time licensing or royalty fees, rootstock, and scion.
- Producer-to-producer sales, including rootstock, scion, and plants.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Fields replanted that do not meet the contiguous 0.5 acre minimum, including fields in different locations with different PIDs, separated planting areas on the same PID that do not touch, or areas separated by a paved road or highway.
- Interplanting in existing orchards or vineyards.
- New plantings, including farm expansions and the establishment of crops on bare land or land previously used for non-perennial crops or non-food perennial crops.
- Home nurseries: the cost of growing plants, including labour, maintenance, and other production inputs; also Good and Services Tax (GST), taxes and duty or shipping costs.
- Ongoing annual royalty payments.

- British Columbia
Selection criteria
- Confirmed plant order for all fields at the time of application.
- Enrollment in Production Insurance.
- Enrollment in AgriStability, or vertical integration that makes the applicant ineligible for AgriStability.
- A current Environmental Farm Plan, or one in the process of being renewed or applied for.
- Stream 1 field(s) being replanted will be cover cropped or left fallow for at least 12 months prior to planting, and high-scoring applications are funded first until allocations are fully committed.
How to apply
- Go to IAF’s Client Portal and create a personal profile.
- Provide your organization’s information and wait for account validation.
- Select Enhanced Replant Program from Opportunities.
- Complete the application with project details, budget, the AF Demographic Survey confirmation number, and any required supporting documents.
- Review the application, then click Submit from the review screen.
Processing and Agreement
- IAF screens and reviews applications, and may use a technical expert.
- 10% of eligible applications are selected for audit and may require additional information or clarification.
- Approved applicants are notified by email within 8 weeks of a completed application submission, and all funding decisions are final.
- Applicants without a confirmed plant order may receive conditional approval for 60 days.
- Successful applicants must complete the project and submit reports and/or pass an on-site field inspection before payment is issued.

Existing tree fruit or wine grape growers replanting fields in British Columbia.
The applicant must be the owner or lessee of the land and farming over 2.47 acres of perennial crops.
The applicant must demonstrate financial viability and remain in good standing with the relevant council or commission.
