- Agricultural machinery usage cooperatives (cooperative groups under the Co-operative Associations Act)
- Agricultural industry associations
- Agricultural producers (individuals or groups)
Who is not eligible
- For Agricultural Machinery Usage Cooperatives: cooperatives with fewer than 4 members.
- For Agricultural Machinery Usage Cooperatives: cooperatives that are not established (or in the process of establishing) under the Co-operative Associations Act.
- For Agricultural Machinery Usage Cooperatives: cooperatives that are not up-to-date in their reporting to the Financial and Consumer Services Commission (FCNB).
Eligible expenses
- Professional fees to draft or update cooperative by-laws, including registration and incorporation costs.
- Purchase of specialized agricultural machinery/equipment for shared use (e.g., tillage, planting, crop protection, spreading materials such as fertilizer/manure/lime, and harvest equipment), excluding trucks and tractors.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Trucks (not eligible under the machinery purchase component for agricultural machinery usage cooperatives)
- Tractors (not eligible under the machinery purchase component for agricultural machinery usage cooperatives)
Processing and Agreement
- Program staff may review the application and may require the applicant to report on the impact of the funding received.
- Reporting requirements (if any) will be outlined in the letter of offer.
