How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application
    • Complete the application form.
    • Attach two independent contractor estimates.
    • Include a written description of the proposed improvements.
    • Add a sketch of the proposed improvements and a photo of the existing façade.
    • Include owner consent if the applicant is a tenant.
  • Step 2: Submit the application
    • Provide the completed application with all required supporting documents.
  • Step 3: Wait for review and approval
    • Council reviews the application and sends a written Notice of Approval Letter if approved.
  • Step 4: Complete the work and claim payment
    • Finish the project within the required timeframe.

  • Applications are reviewed by Council and recommendations are made to the Chief Administrative Officer and Community Development Assistant.
  • Funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Applicants are notified in writing if approved.
  • A notice of completion, invoices, and proof of payment are required before payment is issued.
  • Projects must be completed within eight months of Council approval, unless an extension is granted.
