Activities funded
- Undertaking capital improvements to properties owned by the City of Ottawa, agency, or properties under long-term lease agreements.
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a community-based, non-profit organization or a registered charity.
- The organization must have been incorporated as a not-for-profit or registered charity for at least 2 years and in existence for at least 5 years.
- The organization’s mandate must align with the Community Funding Framework priorities.
- The organization must be located in and serve residents of Ottawa, and facilities must be City-owned, agency-owned, or under a long-term lease agreement.
- The organization must operate in a non-discriminatory manner, be governed by a democratically elected Board of Directors, and be in good standing with the City of Ottawa.

- Expenses for project components that have supporting quotes exceeding $3,000.

How to apply

Review eligibility and alignment

Gather required documentation
- Prepare a list of board or committee members with titles and emails
- Obtain a lease agreement or proof of facility ownership
- Gather landlord approval documentation if applicable
- Collect the most recent financial statements
- Secure three quotes per expense over $3,000 and prepare the budget

Submit the application online
- Complete the online application on the City of Ottawa website
- Upload all required documents (PDF, XLS, DOC, DOCX, JPEG, max 5MB/file)
- Review all information before final submission

Await funding decision
- Applications are reviewed by an allocation committee
- Evaluation is based on set criteria and project alignment
- Await funding decision within 30 business days after the deadline

Finalize funding agreement
- Successful applicants sign a contribution agreement
- Submit most recent audited financial statements and AGM minutes for last two years
- Provide current board list, organizational chart, and valid insurance certificate naming the City
- Comply with all terms and conditions outlined in the agreement
