Overview
The Community Action Program for Families – Component 2 provides a subsidy (financial assistance) to national and regional coalitions of Family Community Organizations (OCF). Its purpose is to support community action with families in order to strengthen the social fabric and networks of solidarity, by funding activities carried out by these coalitions that are consistent with the Program’s objectives.

- Activities carried out by national or regional coalitions (associations) of Family community organizations (OCF).
Eligibility
- The applicant must meet the criteria for “community action” and “autonomous community action” as defined in section 4.2 of the program’s normative framework.
- The applicant must qualify as a national or regional grouping of Family Community Organizations (OCF), as defined in section 5.2 of the program’s normative framework.
- For Component 2, the organization must meet at least one of the following sustainable development criteria: mobilization of community resources; improving families’ quality of life; considering the needs of vulnerable families; involving families and the local community.
Who is eligible?
- Community organizations working with families
- National and regional umbrella groups (regroupements) of autonomous family community organizations
- Non-profit organizations (OSBL) offering family-focused activities (partners)
- Community support organizations operating in the community support sector
Who is not eligible
- For-profit businesses (the program is intended for community organizations and non-profit organizations).
- Organizations that do not meet the criteria for community action and autonomous community action (as defined in the Program’s normative framework) for component 2.
- Organizations that are not a national or regional coalition of Family Community Organizations (OCF) as defined in the normative framework (component 2).
Eligible geographic areas
- All administrative regions of Quebec (province-wide).

Check eligibility criteria
- Ensure you meet the action communautaire and action communautaire autonome criteria (section 4.2 of the normative framework)
- Confirm you match the characteristics of a national or regional grouping of OCF (section 5.2 of the normative framework)

Confirm sustainable development criteria
- For Components 1–3, ensure you meet at least one sustainable development criterion (community resources, family quality of life, vulnerable families, or involvement of families and local community)
