Overview of the Commemorative Partnership Program program
The Commemorative Partnership Program offers funding of up to $50,000 to support organizations in commemorating the achievements and sacrifices of those who served Canada through remembrance initiatives, including community engagement activities and war memorial projects. Eligible activities include developing commemorative materials, organizing commemorative events, and constructing or restoring community war memorials.
Financing terms and conditions
- Funding up to $25,000 for Persian Gulf Veterans community engagement or war memorial projects (deadline: 31 March 2026).
- Funding up to $5,000 for local community engagement projects; up to $10,000 for regional projects (applications accepted year-round).
- Funding up to $10,000 for small community war memorial restoration projects (applications accepted year-round).
- Funding up to $25,000 for new construction or large restoration of community war memorials for projects between 1 April 2026 and 31 March 2027.
- For community war memorial projects in Indigenous communities, reimbursement up to 100% of eligible costs, capped at $50,000.
- Funding up to $50,000 for No. 2 Construction Battalion commemorative projects between 1 April 2026 and 31 March 2027.

Eligibility criteria of the Commemorative Partnership Program program
- The applicant must be a non-profit or for-profit organization, or a provincial, territorial, or municipal government, either in Canada or abroad.
- The project must commemorate the achievements and sacrifices of those who served Canada since Confederation (1867).
- The project must have a defined start and end date.
