Eligible expenses
- Professional fees, administrative costs, facility and equipment rental, travel, salaries or wages, material development and distribution, and design or construction costs related to permanent exhibits.
- For community war memorial projects, expenditures related to relocation of a monument and construction costs may also be eligible.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Projects completed before the application is submitted.
- Operational expenditures and fundraising costs.
- International air travel, land or building purchases, insurance, and book, film, or documentary production costs.
- Projects dedicated solely to an individual.

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are acknowledged upon receipt.
- Only complete applications are assessed.
- Funding decisions are issued in writing within 12 weeks of the application deadline.
