Get financial support of up to $5 million for your project that will help meet the growing needs of zero emission vehicles by increasing the availability of localized charging and hydrogen refuelling opportunities in Canada.

The Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) aids in the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across various locations. This program helps accommodate the growing need for EV infrastructure in multiple public and private sectors.

Eligibility

Eligible recipients under the ZEVIP for delivery organizations program include entities meeting the following criteria:

  • Initial Recipients must be provincial, territorial, regional, or municipal governments, their institutions, agencies, and Crown corporations (including public utilities), or not-for-profit organizations validly incorporated or registered in Canada.
  • Ultimate Recipients must be legal entities validly incorporated or registered in Canada or abroad, which can include not-for-profit and for-profit organizations such as companies, condo boards, Indigenous businesses or communities, public institutions, and provincial, territorial, regional, or municipal governments or their departments or agencies.
  • Federal organizations such as federal departments, federal Crown corporations, or federal agencies are not eligible recipients under the program.

Who is eligible?

Eligible applicants for the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) Delivery Organizations include provincial, territorial, regional, or municipal governments along with their institutions, agencies, and Crown corporations (including public utilities), and not-for-profit organizations that are validly incorporated or registered in Canada. These organizations can act as Initial Recipients to further distribute funds to Ultimate Recipients.


Who is not eligible

The ZEVIP for Delivery Organizations excludes specific entities from eligibility based on their governmental status. These restrictions focus on ensuring the program supports a diverse range of local and regional entities.
