How to apply
- Step 1
- Request GATE Front Office access if needed.
- First-time applicants must request a username and password at least five business days before the deadline.
- Step 2
- Complete the online application in GATE Front Office.
- Fill in the required profile, organization, budget, revenue, and contact information.
- Step 3
- Upload the required attachments and support materials in GATE Front Office.
- Include any partnership documents or other required program-specific files.
- Step 4
- Review the submission summary and correct any missing fields.
- Submit the application online before 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time on the deadline date.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by an expert panel.
- Projects are assessed against program criteria and compared with other applications.
- Recommendations go to the AFA board of directors for approval.
- Successful applicants are notified after board approval.
- Final reports and funding conditions apply after approval.

- Applicants may submit only one application per arts discipline.
- Successful recipients are usually notified 4 to 6 months after the deadline.
