The Canadian Radiological Foundation (CRF) is the only Canadian non-profit organization focused exclusively on the future of Canadian radiology. Led by radiologists, it funds research projects, leadership programs, and educational initiatives in medical imaging. The foundation awards research grants, scholarships, and fellowships to support innovation in diagnostic and interventional radiology, radiology education, and AI applications in imaging. The Canadian Radiological Foundation serves as a national funder for radiology research and education in Canada. As the only Canadian non-profit focused exclusively on advancing radiology, CRF works in partnership with the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) and the Canadian Heads of Academic Radiology (CHAR) to identify, fund, and promote research that shapes the future of medical imaging in Canada.

In 2024, CRF awarded 13 grants and disbursed $37,800 in funding. The foundation has been investing in long-term research and education since 1981, making it a longstanding pillar in Canadian radiology. Funded research has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
