How to apply
- Step 1: Prepare Application Materials
- Gather essential information: full organization name, address, contact person's name and title, phone and mobile numbers, email address.
- Determine desired posting dates for your campaign (must start on a Monday and end on a Sunday, minimum four months in advance).
- Specify the minimum and maximum number of shelter faces desired (usually 10–20).
- Draft a summary of the event or campaign to be advertised.
- Indicate if you wish to be considered for digital display boards.
- Step 2: Submit Written Application
- Send a written request via email to Cultural Services Promotional Support at tsavanlive@vancouver.ca.
- Include all information gathered in Step 1 within your email.
- Step 3: Await Tentative Booking and Confirmation
- Cultural Services will tentatively schedule your request upon receipt.
- Approximately three months prior to the posting date, your application will be reviewed and you may be contacted to verify details or discuss date flexibility.
- Successful applicants will receive an email confirmation with further instructions.
- Step 4: Poster Design Submission
- Prepare your poster artwork according to the required technical specifications and guidelines.
- Submit a PDF or JPEG version of your poster to your Cultural Services representative for review prior to printing.
- Ensure the artwork acknowledges the City of Vancouver’s support as required.
- Step 5: Print and Deliver Posters
- Arrange for printing of posters with specifications suitable for transit shelters.
- Deliver finished posters to Outfront Media, clearly marked with campaign and posting details, by the Wednesday prior to the campaign start date.
- Posters must be rolled in cardboard tubes.
- Step 6: Campaign Monitoring
- Receive the final posting locations from Cultural Services approximately one week before your campaign begins.
- Monitor the campaign as it runs during your allotted time period.
Additional information
- Organizations are responsible for all design, production, and delivery costs of the posters; only the advertising space is provided without charge.
- Digital display participation must be expressly requested in the application; digital boards are available as a pilot project.
- All campaigns must include proper recognition of the City of Vancouver, either through the emblem or supporting text, on the poster artwork.
