Who is eligible?
- Owners of properties within the Community Improvement Project Area.
- Tenants with written authorization from the property owner.
Eligible expenses
- Eligible facade and storefront improvement and restoration works
- Eligible side and/or rear facade improvement and restoration works where those facades are highly visible from a public road, public parking area or open space
- Architectural/design fees required for eligible works, to a maximum of 10% of the grant amount

How to apply
- Arrange a pre-application meeting with staff to determine program eligibility, proposed scope of work, and project timing.
- If authorized to apply, complete and submit the application form.
- Ensure that all required signatures are provided and that the application is accompanied by all required documentation.
Processing and Agreement
- The application is reviewed by staff to ensure that it meets all eligibility requirements.
- If the application does not meet the eligibility requirements, the applicant is notified in writing.
- Staff may request clarification or additional supporting documentation.
- Staff may perform an initial site visit and inspection of the property if necessary.
- A recommendation is forwarded to Council or Council’s designate, and approved applications receive a Grant Agreement for acceptance and execution.

- Applications and supporting documentation are reviewed by staff to confirm eligibility requirements.
- If the application is approved, a Grant Agreement is executed by the applicant and the Township.
- Construction of the approved works may begin only after approval and subject to issuance of any applicable permit(s).
- The Township may audit the cost of the works before advancing the grant payment.
