Who is eligible?
- First-year students entering a public Canadian college or university
- Students in full-time diploma or degree programs
- Students in Transportation, Logistics, Business, Technology, Human Resources, or Communications
Who is not eligible
- Students who are not Canadian residents
- Students older than 20 as of January 1 of the academic year
- Students not entering first year from secondary school
- Students without a parent working in the Canadian trucking industry

- Applicant’s relation to a parent working in the Canadian trucking industry is required
- Selection is made by the OTA Education Foundation Selection Committee

- Enter your personal, education, and sponsoring company information.
- Step 2: Upload supporting documents
- Upload your essay in PDF format.
- Complete and submit the Applicant Affiliation with Trucking Industry form for company verification and signature.
- Step 3: Arrange transcript submission
- Request an official transcript with final marks sent directly to the OTA Education Foundation.
- Step 4: Submit by the deadline
- Submit the application by July 15.
- Ensure transcript materials are sent by July 30.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission by the OTA Education Foundation Selection Committee
- Only scholarship winners are notified
- If selected, the recipient’s Social Insurance Number must be provided before funds are released
- Funds are sent to the post-secondary institution and credited to the student account
