How to apply
- Step 1: Start the online application
- Access the online application form.
- Review the application requirements and overview before beginning.
- Complete the application by July 15.
- Step 2: Prepare and upload supporting documents
- Upload a CV of past initiatives and accomplishments.
- Upload an essay of 500 words or less.
- Upload at least two reference letters.
- Step 3: Complete the trucking industry affiliation form
- Download the Applicant Affiliation with Trucking Industry form.
- Have it completed and signed by the parent’s employer.
- Email the signed form to the Foundation by July 15.
- Step 4: Arrange transcript delivery
- Request an official transcript with final marks from your institution.
- Have it sent directly to the OTA Education Foundation by July 30.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission by the OTA Education Foundation Selection Committee
- Only scholarship winners are notified
- If selected, the student must provide a Social Insurance Number for T4A purposes before funds are released
- Funding is sent to the post-secondary institution rather than paid directly to the student
