  • Students outside Ontario
  • Students over 25 years old
  • Part-time university students
  • Students not enrolled at a public Ontario university

How to apply

  • Step 1: Start the online application
    • Access the online application form.
    • Review the application requirements and overview before beginning.
    • Complete the application by July 15.
  • Step 2: Prepare and upload supporting documents
    • Upload a CV of past initiatives and accomplishments.
    • Upload an essay of 500 words or less.
    • Upload at least two reference letters.
  • Step 3: Complete the trucking industry affiliation form
    • Download the Applicant Affiliation with Trucking Industry form.
    • Have it completed and signed by the parent’s employer.
    • Email the signed form to the Foundation by July 15.
  • Step 4: Arrange transcript delivery
    • Request an official transcript with final marks from your institution.
    • Have it sent directly to the OTA Education Foundation by July 30.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission by the OTA Education Foundation Selection Committee
  • Only scholarship winners are notified
  • If selected, the student must provide a Social Insurance Number for T4A purposes before funds are released
  • Funding is sent to the post-secondary institution rather than paid directly to the student
