Who is eligible?
- Legal persons or partnerships with an active establishment in Quebec.
- Industries in Quebec subject to the SPEDE, voluntary SPEDE adherents, and their partners.
- If the industry subject to the SPEDE or the voluntary SPEDE adherent is not the participant, it must participate as a partner in the project.
Eligible expenses
- Salary and social benefits for internal staff and partners working directly on the project.
- Professional service fees, including subcontractors, consultants, validation services, verification services, and financial audit services.
- Purchase or rental of equipment, material and supplies.
- Capital assets, including existing capital assets when they constitute an overcost, and depreciation expenses for new capital assets whose cost is not eligible.
- Intellectual property rights, travel and subsistence, administrative fees, and expenses assumed by an internal partner.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Losses in production, scrap, or other losses caused by project activities.
- Commitments and expenses made before the expense eligibility date established by Technoclimat.
- All taxes and duties, and the purchase of land.
- Expenses incurred to prepare the Technoclimat funding application.
- Non-necessary or unjustifiable expenses, including executive or management salaries, representation expenses, participation in trade shows or missions outside Quebec unless directly related to the project, interest on loans, and any other expense not directly associated with the project.

How to apply
- Fill out and submit the declaration of interest.
- After Technoclimat analyses the declaration of interest, it will indicate whether an official funding application may be submitted.
- Submit the completed, signed and dated application form, the project plan, the curricula vitae of the people and organizations involved, and the participant's last two years of financial statements, if applicable.
Processing and Agreement
- After the declaration of interest is analysed, Technoclimat indicates whether an official funding application may be submitted.
- During the project, Technoclimat reviews each payment request and may ask for supporting documents for a sample of expenses.
- The participant has seven days to return the requested documents.
- If supporting documents or sufficient information are missing, the declared expense is removed from eligible expenses.
- For the final payment, when the subsidy exceeds $250,000, the participant must submit an independent auditor's report.
