Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Core administrative and overhead costs.
- Capital asset costs, including permanent structures, land, equipment, and computers.
- Travel, hospitality, accommodation, meals, and food or beverages.
- Academic research, police enforcement activities, and prizes.
- Costs already covered by other funding sources, and events held outside Ontario.

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by a ministry review committee.
- Eligible applications are assessed against project quality, organizational capacity, performance measures, and budget realism.
- Successful applicants receive a decision notice and a Transfer Payment Agreement.
- Funding is released only after the agreement is signed and required documentation is provided.
- Recipients must submit interim and final reports through TPON.
Additional information
- Applicants are encouraged to seek matching financial or in-kind support from local partners.
- Projects can be submitted as more than one application, with each reviewed separately.
- A Transfer Payment Agreement must be signed before funding is released.
- Projects must be completed in time for the final report and supporting receipts to be submitted by August 31, 2026.
