Selection criteria
- The IESO would like to thank you for your submissions. Each measure submitted for consideration to the Save on Energy Retrofit program is reviewed and screened.
- The evaluation of the submissions involves an in-depth, multi-stage review and approval process to ensure a measure addresses market needs and meets program requirements, including cost-effectiveness, and energy-efficiency policy objectives.
How to apply
- Applications are submitted through the Retrofit portal.
- Please upload your invoice to the Retrofit portal.
- You can check out this brief video “Submitting a Final Invoice” for steps on how to upload your invoice.
Processing and Agreement
- Once your application has been submitted it will be assigned to a technical reviewer.
- The pre-approval process will take about two to three weeks to complete.
- During this time, you will receive either a formal notice via the Retrofit portal and/or your Save on Energy representative that your project has been pre-approved, or your technical reviewer may notify you that your application requires further documentary evidence to support the application.
- Mandatory QA/QC is required for projects that exceed $20,000 in incentive value.
- Some applications for small projects that fall under these incentive amounts may be selected at random for QA/QC during the pre-approval and/or post-approval process.
Additional information
- Applications are submitted through the Retrofit Portal.
- Retrofit program applications for lighting measures that have been submitted for pre-approval prior to or on December 17, 2023, and receive pre-approval by December 31, 2024 will continue to be eligible to receive the Retrofit program incentive after program requirements are met.
