Retrofit Program Updated
The Retrofit Program page now announces changes taking effect on June 30, 2026, and the application experience is more clearly structured as an 8-step guided process with pre- and post-project approvals. It also now shows support details including retrofit@ieso.ca, 1-844-303-5542, and support hours, plus refreshed wording for Prescriptive vs. Custom streams and agriculture-focused upgrades such as LED grow lights, ventilation, and solar PV. The program still highlights up to 50% of eligible project costs covered, but the scope and presentation were expanded to emphasize targeted eligible upgrades, including HVAC, lighting controls, data centre equipment, manufacturing equipment, and more. Related application documents were also updated, including the Solar PV DER worksheet changing from Version 2.0 effective May 30, 2025 to Version 3.0 effective May 29, 2026.
