Productivity and Sustainable Innovation Fund – Component 3

• The applicant must be an industrial company, a non-profit organization (NPO), or a social economy enterprise operating in related industrial services (such as distribution, wholesale, or warehousing).
• The business must be located and operating within the City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
• The project must involve the acquisition of digital or production equipment, or aim to enhance productivity or accelerate digital transformation.

• Industrial companies located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
• Non-profit organizations (NPOs) in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
• Social economy enterprises operating in services related to industry (such as distribution, wholesale trade, warehousing) in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Who is not eligible

• Companies that are not industrial enterprises.
• Organizations not located or operating in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
• Enterprises whose projects do not involve gains in productivity or digital transformation.

Eligible expenses

• Acquisition of equipment resulting in productivity gains.
• Leasehold improvements essential for the installation of eligible equipment.
• Purchase of software leading to productivity improvements.
• Professional fees for software implementation.
• Professional fees for employee training on equipment or software (if not covered by Services Québec).
• Software rental fees for the first two years only.
• Professional engineering fees for designing custom automated equipment.
• Feasibility studies or option analysis costs.

• City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

• Potential to increase efficiency, productivity, growth, and/or competitiveness of the business.
• Quality and strength of the business model.
• Professionalism and credibility of the project proponent.
• Relevance and innovative nature of the project, including its uniqueness, competition analysis, and alignment with regional priorities.
• Feasibility of the project, including realistic timelines, marketing and communication strategies, and quality of the team.
• Financial capacity of the applicant to complete the project and achieve its objectives.
• Sustainability of the project after funding.
• Economic benefits generated by the project (e.g., job creation, revenue growth, improved productivity).
• Quality of the application submitted.
• Credibility of suppliers.
• Social impact and sustainability of the project.

• Step 1: Contact NexDev
  • Reach out to the NexDev Business Services department for guidance or clarification on your application.
• Step 2: Complete the Online Application Form
  • Access and fill out the online application form to initiate the funding request process.
• Step 3: Gather Required Documentation
  • Prepare up-to-date financial statements for analysis by NexDev.
  • Obtain a certified project analysis report from the relevant partner (e.g., DigiFab, Investissement Québec) if applicable.
  • Provide a void cheque from the company's bank account.
  • Compile proof of payment for invoices related to eligible project costs.
• Step 4: Submission of Application
  • Submit the completed application form along with all required supporting documents to NexDev via their designated process (typically online or as instructed by NexDev advisors).
• Step 5: Application Review
  • Your application and documents are reviewed by NexDev business advisors and may be submitted for approval by the Joint Investment Committee (CIC).
• Step 6: Approval and Notification
  • Receive notification regarding the outcome of your application.

• NexDev reserves the right to revise the fund's eligibility rules annually, based on the volume of funds granted.
• Grant applications are reviewed and evaluated by the Joint Investment Committee (CIC).
• The fund will remain available until resources are exhausted.
• NexDev may use the applicant's business name for promotional purposes related to the fund and its outcomes.
