Productivity and Sustainable Innovation Fund – Component 2: Feasibility study - audit towards a 4.0 transition

• The applicant must be an industrial business, a non-profit organization (NPO), or a social economy enterprise operating in sectors related to industry (such as distribution, wholesale, or warehousing).
• The applicant must operate within the territory of the city of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
• The project must involve a feasibility study or audit related to a 4.0 transition aimed at improving productivity or accelerating digital transformation.

Who is eligible?

• Industrial companies located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
• Non-profit organizations (NPOs) based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
• Social economy enterprises operating in services related to industry (e.g., distribution, wholesale trade, warehousing) in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Who is not eligible

• Companies not operating within the territory of the city of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
• Businesses that are not industrial, non-profit organizations (NPOs), or social economy enterprises providing services related to industry (such as distribution, wholesale, warehousing).

Eligible expenses

• Acquisition of equipment that improves productivity.
• Renovations or adjustments necessary for installing eligible equipment.
• Purchase of software that results in productivity gains.
• Professional fees for software implementation.
• Professional fees for employee training on the new equipment or software (if not covered by Services Québec).
• Software rental fees for the first two years only.
• Engineering professional fees for the design of custom automated equipment.
• Feasibility studies or option analysis costs.

Eligible geographic areas

• Businesses located in the city of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

• Potential to increase the efficiency, productivity, growth, and/or competitiveness of the company.
• Quality and robustness of the business model.
• Professionalism and credibility of the project promoter.
• Demonstration of the issues addressed by the project.
• Relevance, innovation, and regional priority of the project.
• Feasibility of the project, including a realistic timeline and business plan quality.
• Financial capacity of the applicant to complete the project and reach objectives.
• Sustainability and long-term impact of the project after funding.
• Economic benefits such as job creation, revenue growth, or increased productivity.
• Quality of the application submitted.
• Credibility of suppliers involved.
• Social impact and sustainability of the project.

• NexDev reserves the right to revise eligibility rules annually based on the volume of funds awarded.
• The fund is available until resources are depleted.
• Applicants must consent to NexDev using their business name for promotional purposes related to the fund.
• A joint Investment Committee (CIC) is responsible for evaluating applications.
