Productivity and Sustainable Innovation Fund – Stream 1

• The applicant must be an industrial company, a non-profit organization (NPO), or a social economy enterprise operating in industry-related services (such as distribution, wholesale, or warehousing).
• The company or organization must be operational and located within the territory of the City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
• The project must involve activities or acquisitions that enhance productivity or facilitate digital transformation (e.g., digital equipment or production tools).
• The applicant must provide up-to-date financial statements, a completed application form, and other requested supporting documents.
• The applicant must accept the use of its company name by NexDev for fund promotion or the showcasing of results.

Who is eligible?

• Industrial companies located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
• Non-profit organizations (NPOs) operating in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
• Social economy enterprises providing services related to industry (e.g., distribution, wholesale, warehousing) in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Who is not eligible

• Companies not located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
• Businesses that are not industrial companies, non-profit organizations (OBNL), or social economy enterprises operating in industry-related services.

Eligible expenses

• Acquisition of equipment that improves productivity.
• Renovation costs necessary for installing eligible equipment.
• Purchase of software resulting in productivity gains.
• Professional fees for software implementation.
• Professional fees for employee training on eligible equipment or software (if not covered by Services Québec).
• Software rental fees for the first two years only.
• Engineering professional fees for designing custom automated equipment.
• Feasibility studies or option analyses.

• City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

• Potential to improve efficiency, productivity, growth, and/or competitiveness of the company.
• Quality and strength of the business model.
• Professionalism and credibility of the project promoter.
• Demonstration of business challenges addressed by the project.
• Relevance and innovation of the project, including regional priority and uniqueness.
• Feasibility of the project, including a realistic timeline, business plan quality, and team capability.
• Applicant’s financial capacity to complete the project and reach objectives.
• Sustainability of the project after funding.
• Economic benefits of the project, such as job creation and increased revenue or productivity.
• Quality of the application submitted.
• Credibility of suppliers involved.
• Social impact and sustainability of the project.

• NexDev reserves the right to revise eligibility rules annually based on the volume of funds granted.
• The fund is available until resources are exhausted; there is no reserved allocation by targeted sector.
• The Investment Committee (CIC) is responsible for evaluating applications.
• NexDev may use your company name for promotional purposes related to the fund.
