Who is eligible?

  • Municipalities with New Deal agreements in place.

Eligible expenses

  • Capital costs for roads, bridges, culverts, and water infrastructure.
  • Pre-construction planning and design work.
  • Site servicing costs related to the funded assets, including utility relocation.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Application preparation costs.
  • Projects that have already started construction.
  • Trade corridor and industrial roads, except the connecting portions allowed by the program.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission through TPON.
  • Projects are assessed based on submitted information and program criteria.
  • Priority is given to more advanced projects and joint projects with higher impact.
