- The applicant must be one of the four Inuit Land Claim Organizations: Inuvialuit Regional Corporation, Makivvik, Nunatsiavut Government, or Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated.
- The project must focus on Inuktut language maintenance, revitalization, or reclamation.
- The applicant must submit a 5-year work plan as part of the application.

How to apply
- Step 1: Contact the Appropriate Land Claim Organization
- Identify which of the four Inuit Land Claim Organizations is relevant to your region or organization (Inuvialuit Regional Corporation, Makivvik, Nunatsiavut Government, or Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated).
- Reach out to the selected organization using the provided contact email to express your interest in funding for Inuktut maintenance, revitalization, or reclamation.
- Step 2: Collaborate on Funding Proposal
- Work with your Land Claim Organization to discuss partnership opportunities and funding mechanisms according to your region's priorities.
- Participate in developing or contributing to a 5-year work plan as required under the funding model.
- Step 3: Submit Funding Request Through Land Claim Organization
- Ensure all required information and contributions are included as defined in the process established by the Land Claim Organization.
- The Land Claim Organization will submit the formal application and funding request to the Department of Canadian Heritage as part of their multi-year plan.
- Step 4: Follow Up and Support
- Maintain contact with your Land Claim Organization throughout the process for updates and feedback.
