- Any costs not directly attributed to carrying out the project
- Any costs not specifically allowed, unless approved in writing at project approval

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are first reviewed administratively for completeness and eligibility.
- Eligible proposals are then evaluated by the Canada Water Agency against program criteria.
- Applicants are notified in writing once approvals in principle are confirmed.
- Approved projects proceed to a Contribution Agreement before funding is finalized.
