Epic MegaGrants provides financial support of up to $150,000 to help smaller teams, solo developers, and innovators bring creative, noteworthy, and innovative projects to life using Unreal Engine or contributing to the open source 3D graphics ecosystem. Eligible activities include developing indie games, creating Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) experiences, transitioning projects from another engine to Unreal Engine, and building open source tools or immersive real-time 3D experiences (film, shows, animation).

  • Indie game projects developed in Unreal Engine are eligible.
  • Fortnite/UEFN experience projects (from dev teams, established studios, Fortnite Creative teams, or individuals with an experience concept) are eligible.
  • Projects partially developed in another engine may be eligible if they plan to transition to Unreal Engine.
