Eligibility
Eligibility for the Northern Ontario Exports Program's Trade Mission Support is based on specific criteria.
- The applicant must be an ONEDC municipality, trade association, or not-for-profit organization representing exporting sectors and companies in Northern Ontario.
- The organization should aim to connect with buyers in specific export markets.
- The applicant must organize or host inbound visits by foreign buyers or lead multi-party missions to target markets outside of Ontario.
Who is eligible?
The Northern Ontario Exports Program is open to export-ready small and medium enterprises (SMEs), industry associations, and not-for-profit organizations based in Northern Ontario. Specifically, for the Trade Mission Support Program, eligible applicants include ONEDC municipalities, trade associations, or not-for-profits representing exporting sectors and companies in Northern Ontario. These entities must be seeking to connect with buyers in specific export markets and facilitate face-to-face interactions between Northern Ontario SMEs and prospective buyers.Eligible expenses
The Northern Ontario Exports Program aims to support the expansion of business ventures in global markets through the Trade Mission Support Program. Eligible projects focus on facilitating significant interactions between Northern Ontario SMEs and international buyers.
- Organizing and hosting inbound visits by foreign buyers or their representatives.
