Eligible expenses
- Staff salaries and benefits for project delivery
- Professional fees, honoraria, materials, supplies, translation, and training
- Travel costs related to the project
- Project administration costs such as oversight, office space, telephones, computer equipment, IT maintenance, and accounting
- Audit costs for larger projects

- Costs incurred before a funding decision
- General operating costs not related to the project
- Capital costs such as land, buildings, or vehicles
- Board directors' salaries, allowances, and benefits
- Direct services, awareness campaigns, research-only projects, and other excluded activities

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission through ONAIS.
- Eligible applications are assessed against the program criteria.
- Decisions are communicated by email.
- If approved, the applicant must wait to sign a funding agreement before starting work.
- Approved projects must submit progress reports and a final report.
Additional information
- Only one application is allowed per organization.
- You cannot apply to scale a promising practice that is part of an unfinished project.
- Projects must start no earlier than summer 2023 and end by March 31, 2026.
- A funding agreement must be signed before activities begin.
