Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Book publishers.
  • Self-publishers.
  • Saskatchewan-based applicants eligible under the book publishing streams.

Who is not eligible

  • Applicants seeking funding for new titles.
  • Projects already funded by SK Arts or SaskCulture.
  • Titles with author or illustrator royalties as eligible support.
  • Projects that do not qualify under the Book Publishers’ Stream or Author-Funded Stream.

Eligible expenses

  • Reprint printing expenses.
  • Marketing expenses for the reprint title, up to the program limit.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • New titles.
  • Shipping expenses for distribution.
  • Author and illustrator royalties.
  • Capital and in-kind costs.
  • Projects already funded by SK Arts or SaskCulture.

    • Submit before the deadline.
  • Step 4: Await results
    • Results are sent by email and available in GMS.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are first reviewed for eligibility and completeness.
  • Eligible files are assessed after the deadline.
  • Applicants receive results by email and in GMS.
  • If approved, a Letter of Commitment sets the terms.
  • Funding is released after the project and final report are approved.
