Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Indigenous governments and Indigenous-led not-for-profit organizations.
  • Municipal or regional governments, or municipally owned agencies.
  • Public sector bodies established by or owned by a municipal or regional government.
  • Not-for-profit organizations.

Who is not eligible

  • For-profit businesses are not eligible to receive funding under the BCSF.

Selection criteria

  • Projects ready to proceed quickly are given priority.
  • Clear public and community benefits are a key consideration.
  • Alignment with program objectives is used in assessment.
  • Economic and regional impacts are considered.
  • Ability to leverage other funding sources and alignment with regional needs and priorities are assessed.
