Eligible applicants for this grant include agri-food processors, primary producers, and industry organizations:- Agri-food processors: Entities active in transforming agricultural commodities into value-added products, including those who contract processing and packaging or operate a processing facility marketing through wholesale channels.- Primary Producers: Individuals managing day-to-day farm operations and responsible for input costs, producing at least $10,000 in farm commodities annually.- Industry Organizations: Registered entities in Alberta representing primary agriculture producers or agri-food processing companies.


Who is not eligible

This grant excludes certain companies and activities to ensure funds are directed toward enhancing domestic workforce awareness in the agriculture and agri-food sectors. The restrictions are designed to focus on the long-term development of these industries within Alberta.
