Who is eligible?
- Not-for-profit organizations, including charities
- Municipal governments
- Educational institutions
- Indigenous entities
- Health and social services institutions
Who is not eligible
- Projects under the Scaling Up for Seniors stream must provide services in more than one province or territory, except that organizations in Quebec may only scale up within Quebec.
- Projects under the In-Home Support Pilot Project stream must operate only within a local area—not at the national or provincial/territorial scale.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Projects focused on arts, recreation, or community spaces for seniors.
- Core organizational operations such as administration and human resources.
- Projects delivering health care or home care services.
- Projects that duplicate provincially or territorially funded services already available in the area.

- More than one province or territory
- Quebec-based organizations may scale up only within Quebec
- Indigenous governments may scale up within a single province or territory
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission.
- Applicants are notified of the funding decision in writing.
- Funding is only confirmed once a funding agreement is signed.
- Activities before the agreement is signed are not reimbursed.

- Projects approved under the Scaling Up for Seniors stream represent a total investment of over $24 million across Canada.
- Organizations in Quebec are permitted to scale up projects exclusively within Quebec.
- A minimum of 24 projects have received funding through this stream to date.
