Xecs is a Eureka Cluster specifically designed to accelerate sustainable industrial innovation in the Electronics Components & Systems community. It acts as a coordination body that connects innovative companies, SMEs, research organizations, and universities with national funding bodies across the Eureka network.
Projects must demonstrate: international cooperation with at least 2 Eureka countries, technical innovation beyond state-of-the-art, market potential, complementary consortium composition, and real economic/societal impact. Projects should involve 35 person-years and be industry-driven with civilian purpose.
Xecs projects are funded at the national level according to national rules. The Xecs label does not automatically imply funding; each partner must apply for funding in their respective country. The programme has facilitated over €400m of RD&I investments with over 500 partners.
Funding is available from Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, and Türkiye.
