How to apply

  • Step 1: Project idea development
    • Develop the project idea with potential partners.
    • Review the call timeline and relevant national rules.
  • Step 2: Consortium building
    • Form the international consortium.
    • Contact national funding representatives early.
  • Step 3: Submit Project Outline
    • Register and use the Project Zone.
    • Submit the Project Outline in English by the deadline.
  • Step 4: Submit Full Project Proposal
    • If invited, prepare and submit the Full Project Proposal in the Project Zone.
    • Address feedback from the outline evaluation.
  • Step 5: Project management
    • If funded, start project management and use the Project Zone for administration and reporting.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed in a two-stage process.
  • Project Outlines are evaluated by technical experts and public authorities.
  • Successful applicants are invited to submit a Full Project Proposal.
  • Full Project Proposals undergo a second evaluation before funding decisions.
  • Approved projects proceed to kick-off and project management in the Project Zone.

  • Funding is provided nationally under each participating country’s rules.
  • Projects are submitted in two stages: Project Outline and Full Project Proposal.
  • The Project Zone is used for submission and project management.
  • Funded participants may be asked to contribute a small fee for Xecs office services.
