Rôle de l'Upstream Fund dans l'écosystème du financement
Le fonds Upstream de la région de Waterloo représente une approche novatrice de financement communautaire adoptée par le gouvernement municipal en 2022. Ce programme vise à transférer le pouvoir et les ressources vers les communautés, en soutenant des initiatives dirigées par celles-ci et alignées sur le Plan de sécurité et de bien-être communautaire (CSWP).
Types de financement offerts
Le programme comprend deux volets principaux : le fonds Upstream, axé sur les initiatives de prévention et de sécurité communautaire, et le fonds de renforcement des capacités communautaires, qui soutient le développement organisationnel des organismes communautaires. Les demandes de financement sont acceptées annuellement, avec un processus en deux étapes comprenant une expression d'intérêt suivie d'une demande complète.
Critères d'admissibilité
Les organismes admissibles doivent être des groupes à but non lucratif opérant dans la région de Waterloo. Le programme priorise particulièrement les organisations communautaires et les groupesqui ont été historiquement exclus des opportunités de financement.
Processus de décision
Toutes les décisions de financement sont prises par le Comit é de changement communautaire (CCC), composé de 12 personnes diversifiées provenant de la communauté, apportent une large gamme de compétences, de perspectives et d'expériences au processus décisionnel.
