Rôle de la Fondation JUEL dans le financement du basketball étudiant
La Fondation JUEL constitue le bras-caritatif de la Ligue de basketball JUEL (Junior Elite League), une ligue provinciale ontarienne pour les joueuses. Depuis sa création, la fondation vise à alléger le fardeau financier des familles tout en permettant aux jeunes femmes de poursuivre leurs rêves sportifs et académiques.
Programmes de subventions
- JUEL Foundation Grants : Subventions accordées aux étudiantes-athlètes éligibles pour couvrir les frais d'études postsecondaires
- Player Assist Program (PAP) : Programme d'aide financière pouvant aider jusqu'à 22 joueuses avec 200 $ chacune par saison
Critères d'évaluation
Les candidates sont évaluées selon leurs réalisations académiques, leur engagement communautaire et leur desempeño sportif. Le comité de sélection octroie jusqu'à 30 subventions par année.

La fondation bénéficie du soutien de partenaires corporatifs incluant Allan Bush et le Club Kiwanis de Brampton, ainsi que d'une subvention de Femmes et Sport Canada.
