What else should I know about Golf Canada Foundation?

Founded in 1979, the Golf Canada Foundation serves as the primary philanthropic engine for the advancement of golf across Canada. As a registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association, the Foundation is dedicated to raising and granting funds that foster a more inclusive, accessible, and successful golf community. Its mission is to empower the next generation of Canadians by using golf as a platform to build character, resilience, and life-long values.
The Foundation’s strategic focus is distributed across five core impact areas:
Junior Golf: Leading the national expansion of First Tee – Canada and ensuring financial accessibility through the Youth on Course program.
Women’s Golf: Championing gender equity through the Jocelyne Bourassa Legacy Fund and dedicated women-in-coaching initiatives.
Collegiate Golf: Awarding more than $10.8 million in scholarships since 1982 to support the academic and athletic journeys of student-athletes.
High Performance: Funding Team Canada and national talent identification systems with a bold goal to see 30 Canadians on the PGA and LPGA Tours by 2032.
Golf Heritage: Preserving the game’s history through the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and community-based heritage grants.
Through its unprecedented $70 million "Drive Campaign," the Foundation is establishing the Home for Canadian Golf at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley. This national campus will feature a world-class performance centre and public-access facilities, securing a vibrant future for the sport in Canada.
