Programs and Initiatives
Workplace Integrated Demonstration Projects (WID)
The WID Projects are a flagship initiative aimed at strengthening the comprehensive primary care workforce in Canada. Through targeted grants, family physicians and their teams receive training, mentorship, and coaching. These projects focus on expanding interprofessional partnerships, enhancing care practices, and developing new curricula to improve healthcare delivery at the community level.
Co-RIG Program
The Co-RIG (COVID-19 Research Initiative Grants) Program was created to support research and innovative care models in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It operates in phases and funds initiatives that explore ways to improve patient outcomes, promote safety for healthcare workers, and ensure equitable access to primary care during times of crisis.
