Selection criteria
- Abnormally high water usage due to an undetected leak or other undetermined cause
- Water use exceeds twice the previous 12 months' average and is over 50 cubic metres
- Leak repaired after notification of increased usage
- Reasonable effort made to locate and fix the leak
How to apply
- Step 1: Review eligibility
- Confirm the account and water usage meet the policy requirements.
- Make sure the leak has been repaired and receipts are available.
- Step 2: Complete the online form
- Fill out the Water Bill Adjustment Request form online.
- Step 3: Submit the request
- Send the completed form within 90 days of receiving notice of increased water usage.
- Step 4: Get help if needed
- Contact Loyalist Township if you need the form in an alternative format or need assistance completing it.

- Application is reviewed by Township staff
- Eligibility and supporting repair information are assessed
- If approved, a credit is applied to the account
