- Improvements to Ontario Building Code or Fire Code compliance, interior accessibility improvements, and conversion or creation of new residential units or improvements to existing residential units.
- Parking areas, walkways, outdoor seating, decorative landscaping, and patios.
- Infrastructure work, major additions, environmental site assessments, and development or redevelopment of vacant property.

- Lifecycle replacements are not eligible.

How to apply

- Submit a complete application with the Application Form, two cost estimates, current photos of the project area, conceptual photos or drawings, and any additional information by email to planning@penetanguishene.ca or to the Planning and Community Development department at 10 Robert Street West P.O. Box 5009, Penetanguishene, ON L9M 2G2.
Processing and Agreement
- Town staff confirm receipt of the application and may request additional information.
- Completed applications are processed by the CIP Administrator and forwarded to the CIP Review Committee to make a decision.
- If approved, a CIP agreement is prepared to outline the approved works and the amount of financial incentives.
- Once the agreement is signed by the Town and the applicant, work can begin.
- After project completion, photos and paid invoices must be submitted, and the approved grant or loan is paid by direct deposit.
