Who is eligible?

  • Graduating high school students.

Who is not eligible

  • Students who are not in their final year of high school.
  • Students who do not meet the minimum anticipated 70% average or equivalent.

Eligible expenses

  • Further education at an accredited post-secondary institution or trade school.
  • Equipment and supplies to support studies at an accredited institution.

Eligible geographic areas

  • Select schools within the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB).
  • Ontario, Canada.

Selection criteria

  • Academic performance is considered, but it is not the main factor.
  • Exceptional skill or capability inside and outside the classroom.
  • Dedication to developing abilities through continuing education.
  • Community and school involvement related to the candidate’s skill.

How to apply

  • Step 1: School nomination
    • Schools identify eligible students.
    • Schools may form a committee of teachers and staff to select candidates.
  • Step 2: Foundation review
    • Committee members meet with the Foundation to assess each nomination.
  • Step 3: Award selection
    • Winners are selected from the nominated candidates.

  • No student application is required.
  • Schools identify candidates and meet with the Foundation to assess nominations.
  • Award winners are selected after nomination review.
  • Annual winners are posted on the Foundation’s website.
