- Private sector businesses (only local governments and First Nation Band Governments are eligible).
- Organizations located outside Northern Development’s service region.
Eligible expenses
- Capital expenditures directly necessary for implementing the approved project.
- Contractor fees related to project delivery.
- Incremental third-party project management services.
- Wages for direct project labour (with required documentation and regular hourly rates).
- Employer portion of CPP, EI, and pension contributions for direct project labour (up to 9.85%).
- PST (provincial sales tax) paid on eligible expenses.
- In-kind (volunteer) labour contributions valued at standard approved rates, with proper documentation.
- Internal equipment use (heavy equipment or machinery owned by the applicant) for the project, up to approved hourly rates.
- Monetized donations of materials, equipment, or services from third parties, with documented proof.

- Applicants must be located within Northern Development’s service region in British Columbia.
Additional information
- A Key Deliverables Reporting Form must be submitted one year after the final disbursement.
- Applications received after deadline are moved to the next funding cycle for review.
