Who is eligible?
- Emerging theatre artists in the city of Quebec.
- Theatre collectives in the city of Quebec.
- Established organizations, if the project is distinctive and involves mainly emerging artists and craftspeople.
Who is not eligible
- Projects already supported by another Première Ovation program or by the cultural development agreement.
- School-based projects in the Design stream.
Eligible expenses
- Professional fees, including mentor fees in some programs.
- Travel and accommodation related to the project.
- Equipment or specialized materials directly linked to the activity.
- Promotion, publishing, and dissemination costs.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Projects already supported by another Première Ovation stream or by the cultural development agreement.
- School-based projects in the Design stream.

Selection criteria
- Alignment with the program’s artistic and professional development goals.
- Contribution to the professionalization of emerging artists.
- Quality of the project’s artistic approach and feasibility.
- For some programs, relevance to Québec and/or Wendake.

- Applications are evaluated by a committee or jury from the relevant artistic field.
- Only complete applications are considered in the review process.

- Artists may submit a request at any time during the year; it will be reviewed in the next call for projects period.
- Première Ovation is managed by different partner organizations depending on the discipline.
