  • Applicants that do not meet the required integrity standards

Eligible expenses

  • Labour, subcontracting, professional fees and consulting
  • Training, authors’ fees, materials and equipment
  • Exhibition design, construction, installation and adaptation
  • Promotion, travel, equipment or space rental, and artifact restoration
  • Digital development and maintenance, administration, contingency, and eligible taxes

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Recurring or normal operating expenses
  • Purchase of collection objects or specimens
  • Demolition of exhibitions
  • Food and alcohol for promotional or media activities
  • Debt financing, loan repayment, land or building acquisition, and penalties or legal costs

  • Applications are reviewed by the Ministry, with external expertise if needed
  • Projects are assessed against program criteria and available budget
  • Priority may be given to youth-focused and sustainable projects
  • A final report is required after project completion
