Who is eligible?

Eligible expenses
- Program administration, salaries, fees and benefits, operations, research and evaluation, and official languages costs.
- Office costs, communication and website activities, and domestic meetings, including travel, meals, accommodation, and facility rental.
- Contracts or honoraria, equipment rental or purchase, printing and distribution, and translation or interpretation services.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Expenses incurred before the proposal is submitted.
- Capital costs.
- Costs of sales, fundraising, and governance.
- Medals, trophies, and banquet costs.

Processing and Agreement
- The proposal is reviewed by a selection committee made up of government representatives and sport sector experts.
- Applications are evaluated against the published rated requirements.
- Funding decisions are made by the Minister of Canadian Heritage and are final.
- If approved, the organization signs a contribution agreement with Sport Canada.
- Recipients must provide interim and final reports, including an audit report.
