Eligibility
- The applicant must be a Quebec-based business, either an individual enterprise or a legally constituted company (corporation, non-profit organization, cooperative, partnership) working in the arts and crafts sector or specializing in the commercialization of Quebec arts and crafts products.
- The business must operate from its headquarters and main establishment in Quebec, with 100% ownership and control by Canadian citizens or permanent residents whose tax residence is in Quebec.
- For arts and crafts enterprises, activities must originate from a craft-based design embodied by a trade related to material transformation, with creation and production stages primarily conducted locally by active artisans to ensure quality control.
- The enterprise must hold intellectual property rights for the designed products and maintain an arts and crafts workshop in Quebec (except for specialized dissemination enterprises).
- The primary mission of the business must be the development and maintenance of craft expertise.
- For dissemination enterprises, the applicant must be a retailer, gallery owner, or promoter with specialization and tangible experience in the commercialization of Quebec arts and crafts products.
- The applicant must commit to investing an amount equal to the financial aid received in the project.
- Only one application per 12-month period is permitted by the applicant.
- The project must focus on enhancing and/or commercializing Quebec arts and crafts products, targeting the Quebec market exclusively.

- Quebec-based individual enterprises or legally constituted companies (corporation, non-profit organization, cooperative, partnership) operating in the field of arts and crafts.
- Companies specialized in the commercialization of Quebec artisan products.
- Enterprises with physical or online sales venues such as shopkeepers, gallery owners, and promoters focused on Quebec arts and crafts products.
Eligible expenses
- Conception and fabrication of displays, lighting, and arrangements dedicated to showcasing and highlighting Quebec arts and crafts products.
- Fees and expenses for developing physical and digital promotional tools (e.g., photos, videos, websites, and e-commerce platforms).
- Fees and expenses for advertising (traditional and digital).
- Expenses related to the discoverability of products (e.g., web page indexing optimization, metadata structuring, and referencing).

How to apply

Preparation of the submission
- Identify the grant program component you are applying for, here Component 3 – Assistance for specialized art craft broadcasting companies.
- Ensure that the company is eligible according to the specific criteria.
- Design a project that enhances and/or markets Quebec artisan products.
- Prepare a budget including a minimum of $5,000 in eligible expenses, excluding GST and QST.

Writing of the request
- Write a detailed project proposal with a description of the company's vision.
- Include the financial needs and development objectives for the coming year.

Submission of the request
- Check the allowed submission periods: from March 17 to April 17, 2025, for the first submission, and from September 22 to October 23, 2025, for the second submission.
- Send your application and any relevant supporting documents to the address or via the platform specified by SODEC before the deadline.

Confirmation of the submission
- Wait for a confirmation of receipt of your request from SODEC.
- Keep all confirmation emails in case future references are needed.
Additional information
- The SODEC reserves the right to alter the payment terms as they see fit.
- Funding disbursements are dependent on the availability of funds and appropriate approvals by the National Assembly.
- Evaluations may seek external advice in addition to internal professional reviews.
- Taxes (GST and QST) are not considered eligible costs and must be excluded from the detailed budget submitted with the application.
