How to apply
- Step 1: Complete Application
- Fill out the application form for the Small-Scale Food and Beverage Processing Equipment Program.

- Step 2: Submission of Application
- Send your completed application by email to smallscale@perennia.ca, with "Claim" in the subject line (preferred method).
- Alternatively, fax the application to 902-678-7266 or mail it to: Perennia Small-Scale Food and Beverage Processing Equipment Program, 28 Aberdeen Street, Kentville, NS B4N 2N1.
- Step 3: Await Review Committee Assessment
- Your application will be reviewed by a committee based on the information and supporting documentation provided.
- If additional information is required, Perennia staff will contact you.
- Step 4: Receive and Review Letter of Agreement
- If approved, receive a Letter of Agreement (LOA) identifying eligible project activities and funding terms.
- Review, sign, and return the LOA to Perennia within 30 days of receipt.
- Step 5: Wait for Project Authorization
- Do not purchase equipment before receiving the signed LOA from Perennia.
- Step 6: Submit Claim for Reimbursement
- After the signed LOA is received by Perennia, you will receive a claim form.
- Complete and sign the claim form.
- Attach copies of eligible equipment invoices and proof of payment.
- Email, fax, or mail your claim with supporting documents by January 15, 2026.
Additional information
- Applicants should not make purchases before receiving a Letter of Agreement, as expenses incurred prior may not be eligible.
- Only one application per year is permitted for this program.
- No payment will be issued for claims under $20.00.
- The name of recipients and amount of support received are considered public information and may be actively disseminated by Perennia.
