How to apply

  • Step 1: Enrol or renew
    • Apply for coverage or renew your contract by the deadline.
    • Add or remove commodities or change coverage options, if needed.
  • Step 2: Report required information
    • Report planted acreage by the deadline.
    • Report crop damage as soon as it occurs.
    • Report yield by the deadline.
  • Step 3: Submit claim information
    • Contact Agricorp for damage reporting and inspections.
    • Provide a certified germination test result if requested.
    • Obtain Agricorp’s consent before replanting, abandoning, destroying, or changing crop use.

Processing and Agreement

  • Agricorp reviews the file and may verify submitted information.
  • A crop inspection may be scheduled to assess damage or eligibility.
  • An adjuster may contact the applicant for more information or required forms.
  • Agricorp issues a final decision on claims or eligibility.
  • If needed, disputes can go through Agricorp’s issue review process and then the appeal tribunal.

  • Deadlines falling on a weekend or holiday are accepted the next business day.
  • Agricorp may inspect crops, verify files, and request additional records.
  • All personal information is handled under Agricorp privacy rules and Ontario law.
