Bee Health 2027 rates, dates and updates
The Bee Health rates, dates and updates sheet has been updated from the 2026 edition to the 2027 edition. It now shows the 2027 discount confirmation period with April to October 2026 monitoring and treatment, and the coverage dates move to October 15, 2026 for applications/changes, November 30, 2026 for the overwintered colonies report, January 10, 2027 for premium payment, Spring 2027 for hive unwrapping notice, and May 15, 2027 for the Spring Inventory and Proof of Loss form. Funding terms also changed: the single-colony insurable value increased from $380 to $385, and the example payment changed from $35,720 to $36,190. The publication page also now links to the 2027 rates, dates and updates resource and a new minister's order reference for the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership.

How to apply
- Step 1: Review coverage requirements
- Confirm you meet the bee health eligibility requirements.
- Review the commodity-specific terms and deadlines.
- Step 2: Submit required reports
- File the Overwintered Colonies Report by November 30.
- Submit the Spring Inventory and Proof of Loss form by May 15.
- Step 3: Manage coverage changes
- Notify Agricorp before wrapping or unwrapping hives.
- Inform Agricorp of any business structure changes.
- Step 4: Make a claim
- Report damage to Agricorp as soon as it occurs.
- Complete any required claim forms and provide requested information.
Processing and Agreement
- Agricorp reviews the claim and may inspect the hives or request additional forms.
- A Spring Inventory and Proof of Loss form must be submitted before the claim can be finalized.
- Agricorp has 60 days to pay or confirm that no indemnity is payable after receiving the claim or required information.
- If you disagree with a final decision, you can request an issue review and then appeal to the Tribunal.
