The applicant must be an individual, legal entity, or company operating in public forest territory who, under an agreement, is required to pay fees for timber harvested from public forests.
The applicant must intend to carry out construction, improvement, or rehabilitation activities on multi-purpose forest roads, bridges, or culverts, as defined in the program.
The proposed project must concern eligible classes of multi-purpose forest roads (classes: out of standard, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) and meet the program’s usability requirements for roads and structures.
For Stream 2, projects must address strategic road network development or specific needs and be selected by the regional forest management authorities.
