Eligibility
- The applicant must be a CRA-registered charity, or work through a sponsoring charity, or qualify to be included in a charitable program of the Foundation.
- The initiative must demonstrate a clear benefit to the community.
- The application must explain how the project will be funded beyond the Foundation’s support.
- The project must align with one or more of the Foundation’s focus areas (social services, health, arts, education, environment).

How to apply
- Step 1: Confirm eligibility
- Ensure the applicant is a CRA-registered charity, or identify a bona fide charitable sponsor, or determine whether the project may qualify under a charitable program of the Foundation.
- Step 2: Prepare project information
- Describe how the initiative will benefit the community.
- Explain how the project will be funded beyond the Foundation’s support.
- Outline the project as a one-year initiative, or show provisions for future funding for continuing projects.
- Step 3: Submit the application for review
- Submit the application in time to be considered for the annual grant review committee deadline (October 1).

- Funding decisions are normally finalized within three months of the application deadline.
